Your idea of clean and the landlord idea of clean are probably 2 different things. As for the carpet, if you didn't have it professionally cleaned and they had to pay $200 to have it done, it does come out of your deposit
References :
You need to extract that first. Get a wet dry vacuum. And Club Soda and a soft shoe brush. Pour the club soda on the poo and agitate the stain. Extract with the wet dry vacuum and repeat till you get as much of the stain out. Club soda is safer for your carpets. If you don't extract the poo out you are just grinding it in with carpet spotters like resolve or spot shot. Plus these spotters have surfactants(SOAP) in it. You will take the stain out but leave the spotter residue on your carpeting. When it dries it is tacky and will attract dirt. Home Depot sells Chem Dry Stain Extinguisher. It is the same solution we use and is carbonated. Use it after you have extracted and dried the spot where your stain was if the club soda extraction did not get all the poo out. Remember carpet has 4 faces. So when you spot use a white terrycloth towel and rub front to back and left and right to clean all 4 faces.

This is why BEFORE you move in you should have filled out a property inspection report and when you move out, you fill out another inspection report.
References :
If you want to see something amazing go to Wal-Mart and buy "spot shot" in the cleaning section where the other carpet cleaning solutions are. Spot shot is amazing. My mom had a dog that had a lit of accidents and this stuff really works. You spray it on the spot and let it sit for a couple minutes and then use a rag and put the rag on the spot. Step on the rag and twist your foot back and forth pushing down hard into the spot. When you lift the rag, you will see the spot on the rag and not the carpet anymore.

I have 4 kids and I've ued it on drink spills, food spills, mud on the carpet...it gets it all out no matter how long it's been there.

I buy it in the can, here's a link so you can see what it looks like...

l highly recommend RESOLVE for Pet Stains!!!! But make sure the RESOLVE bottle says it is for pet stains right on the front label. This is the BEST stuff to use on any surface. This particular stuff can even get out hair dye from beige color carpet. Bright red kool-aid in tan carpet---no problem!! Dog poo cannot withstand RESOLVE For Pet Stains at all
Just follow the instructions on the back and your worries are over. It even discourages the animal from doing it again in the treated spot
References :
Animal lover and owner

cleaning charges on a lease usually refer to physical items being cleaned...stove reefer cupboards, etc..

rug charges ? did you clean it ? he doesnt know what you've done to the rug since you've lived there...

could be infested with fleas..ticks...lice...bed bugs and so on; it is standard to clean the carpets like

they were for you when you moved in, for the next tenant....if you cleaned the rugs, then show the

receipt where you have proof you rented the machine or had it done, to keep from being charged again...

otherwise he's within his rights
