After watching a few examples of people cleaning carpets, I wanted to present a video of how I feel is the best way to clean a carpet. Though this carpet required restorative cleaning (an extreme example), the same steps should be performed on every carpet. Your carpet just won’t take as long this is my first video and i left out or didn’t record a few steps such as pet stain removal, raking the carpet to restore pile , and agitation. I will add those in my next video.

To really “clean” a carpet, the soil needs to be removed OUT of the carpet first. Then the soil can be removed OFF of the carpet. Dry Vacuuming is the ONLY way to remove the dry loose particulate soils OUT from a carpet. Most cleaners skip this step or only pretend to vacuum. Pre-Vacuuming is one of the most important steps to a thorough carpet cleaning process, 80%-90% of the dirt being removed is dry dirt.

Steam cleaning is NOT a Process that should be rushed .
Prespray is NOT an Add-on sale.
Pre-Vaccum is not an add on sale.

“Professional” Steam cleaning will not leave your carpets soggy wet. Though there are enough steam cleaners that will leave a soggy carpet, it is not the norm.
Other methods compare themselves to the worst of the steam cleaners to make themselves look better. Just look up videos by HOST and ChemDry. When performed properly, I believe there is no better way to clean a carpet other than HOT WATER EXTRACTION.

Don’t expect this thorough a cleaning for the $6.95 or $40 or $100 ads you see in Valpacks and coupon books those are usually just to get them in the door and then raise the roof on the price. This cleaning took 4 hours and cost more than the 19.95 a room specials you see but it was for The whole house but the customer also had their tile and grout cleaned. You WILL get what you pay for so if you are serious about having your carpets cleaned, don’t let price limit you.

Especially if anyone in the house has allergies, a cleaning this thorough will make your house so much easier to live in. Forget ripping up the carpets. Just DEEP CLEAN them. Hard surface floors are terrible for controlling allergens; there is nothing to trap them. We suggest having them deep cleaned and sealed as well.
